McCala McDonald

Hello! My name is McCala McDonald, and I am delighted to join the Kindernest Montessori community as a toddler teacher. I bring with me seven years of experience in early childhood education, having worked with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum, Inclusion, and Leadership.

My greatest passion lies in the development of infants and toddlers, as I believe this period is one of immense discovery and formation. Watching children explore their world and develop critical foundational skills is both fascinating and deeply rewarding. I take pride in nurturing their growth during this formative time, guiding them through moments of discovery and helping them build confidence in their abilities.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy traveling, dancing, writing, and spending quality time with my friends and family. A fun fact about me is that I recently published my first children’s book, Bella Butterfly and the Perfect Day, and I am currently working on my next book.

I am committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young children. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is watching children learn new skills and concepts. It’s a joy to see their confidence blossom as they master new challenges.
