Sally DeLucia
Assistant Director
Hello! My name is Sally DeLucia, and I am the Assistant Director of Kindernest Montessori. Before stepping into this role, I was the Assistant Director of a play-based preschool program and have been a Lead Teacher for infants through Pre-K for over 20 years. My experience has deepened my understanding of the importance of early childhood development and the power of creating nurturing, supportive environments where children can thrive.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Mount Ida College, as well as a Director’s
certification from Northern Essex Community College and Leadership certification from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I am also currently pursuing my AMS Montessori certification as part of my dedication to continuous learning and growth. I believe deeply in the connection between the child, school, and family, and I strive to create a joyful, collaborative environment that fosters this partnership.
I am deeply committed to the Montessori philosophy, which recognizes children as naturally curious and capable learners. I believe in fostering an environment where children are empowered to explore and discover at their own pace, nurturing their independence and love of learning.
At home, my 5-year-old son keeps me on my toes, and my husband and I enjoy going on family adventures—whether it's exploring nature or touring the city. These experiences reinforce my belief that children learn best through exploration and hands-on experiences, both in the classroom and in the world around them.
Being part of the Kindernest Montessori community is meaningful to me because we are not just building an educational environment—we are creating a warm, welcoming family. I am excited to continue supporting our children, teachers, and families as we grow together in this beautiful, enriching space.
